An experiential online program introducing the behaviours and applications proven to generate the best quality thinking, actions and results
In our rapidly changing world creating an environment of genuine connection and clear and independent thinking is an essential humanising skill. Having a broad range of approaches to help us easily create these kinds of environments is key. Deepen your expertise in a proven human technology to elevate the way you think, connect and create islands of sanity and clarity in our rapidly shifting sands.
After years of research and observation Nancy Kline, founder of the Thinking Environment® recognised that people generate their best thinking if the people around them behave in certain ways. The Foundation Course will introduce you to these ten behaviours and their practical applications. Through a series of five interactive small group sessions, you will gain:
LIVED EXPERIENCE : Experience being in a Thinking Environment and practise creating this environment for yourself and others
PRACTICAL TOOLS : Transform your one-on-one interactions, team meetings and group conversations: build connectedness, surface new thinking and get results
TIME TO THINK : Gain valuable time to think about the topics that matter most to you - access your own best thinking and the thinking of those around you
The Foundation Course is a stand-alone introduction to creating Thinking Environments and a pre-requisite to the Time To Think Facilitator Accreditation.
The Thinking Environment Foundation Course is designed to explore the theory and demonstrate the practical applications of the Ten Components of the Thinking Environment® in group contexts. Via five 2,5 hour, highly experiential online workshops, the course will cover:

Exploring the ‘Building Blocks’ of creating a Thinking Environment, including Thinking Pairs, Dialogue & Rounds
Experimenting with putting the ‘Building Blocks’ together in various contexts, including participating and chairing a real-time meeting, and the Time To Think Council process

A three-day programme which provides the knowledge and skills to become a Thinking Partner
A Thinking Partner is someone who, through the quality of the attention they offer, helps to catalyse another’s thinking. This attention is generative in nature, and enables the Thinker to access their most creative, bold, independent and courageous thinking.
Leaders who recognise that their primary objective is to facilitate leadership in those around them, and who wish to build Thinking Partnerships and the Thinking Environment approach into their lives and organisations
Anyone whose job requires them to listen and get the best out of others, including parents, teachers, medical practitioners, coaches, and counsellors
Anyone who is needing time to think about issues which matter profoundly to them
The Thinking Partnership Session is a step-by step-process for liberating the human mind to think for itself with unprecedented clarity, originality and rigour. It produces breakthrough independent thinking. This highly participatory course teaches this process in depth. You will participate both as Thinker - considering topics of your choice - and as Thinking Partner practising this elegant expertise. Along the way you will explore all Ten Components of a Thinking Environment.
The Thinking Environment is one of the finest ways in which coaches can hone their ability to provide generative attention: attention which catalyses the thinker’s thinking.
Given the commitment and promise of coaching to provide a place in which clients can access their own best solutions to the issues they bring to their coaching sessions, coaches who train themselves to be Thinking Partners can reliably manage the perennial pitfalls of transference and unconscious infantilisation that so often trip up the best-intentioned helping professionals.
The Thinking Partnership Programme therefore forms the basis of the Coaching Course and is a pre-requisite for becoming an accredited Time To Think Coach.

“I have had my knowledge, understanding and capability taken to another level in this program. I was challenged and supported in an environment that created ease. The participants and Candice as facilitator gave me the ease and safety to learn through my own issues being clarified through the Partnership practice. The practice of the breakthrough questions was exceptional and Candice was potent in her teaching and facilitation. For anyone wanting to deepen their listening and thinking partnership practice this is a must!” John.
’I’ve had the amazing opportunity to attend a number of Candice’s programs over the last year and have come away each and every time not only having explored and expanded my thinking in new ways but in quickly forming deep and enduring connections. Candice’s embodiment of a true ‘thinking environment’ creates the conditions for transformative experiences, enabling thinkers to explore their thoughts with curiosity and sometimes vulnerability, often revealing unanticipated insights and understanding. If you’re a leader who wants to encourage more expansive thinking in your organisation or a facilitator/coach interested in supporting the creation of the necessary conditions for truly independent thinking, I highly recommend Candice’s programs. “ Bridget
